Romaidi was born on 1 February 1981, studied at Faculty of Mathematic and
Natural Science, State Islamic University of Malang from 1999, and he was
given Bachelor degree in Biology in 2003. Then he studied at school of
life science and technology, Bandung Institute of Technology from 2004,
and given Master of Science in 2006. The title of his Bachelor thesis is
“Sustainable Management of Medicinal Plant Used as “Jamu Madura” in
Pamekasan District- East Java- Indonesia”, and that of Master thesis is
“The Attractively of Natural Enemies Insect on Clitoria ternatea L. (Study
of Integrated Pest Management using Natural Enemies)”.
He was teaching assistance in botanic economy, Biology Department, School of Life Science and Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006. Then he has moved to Biology Education Department, Education and Teaching Faculty, Islamic University of Madura, Pamekasan from 2006 till now. He is now mainly consuming responsibility as a lecturer at Biology Department, Science and Technology Faculty, State Islamic University of Malang from 2008.

He has been conducted research on Natural resources in island-coastal and cultural landscape from directions of traditional medicine and biodiversity. He is a taxonomist in a field of higher plant and macro algae. His main research field is eastern Java, especially in Madura as his ethnic is Maruda, and Bromo Tengger Semeru. He is planning to enrich his research about biological research in coastal and marine ecosystem, and the relationship between biodiversity and Islam.
